The NFL Teams: 32 all together and a big business in between..

The NFL teams are mostly divided into two categories. The American Football Championship (AFC) and the National Football Championship (NFC), are the two categories. These two categories are further broken down into AFC East, AFC west, AFC south and the AFC north and the NFC east, NFC west, NFC north and the NFC south.

Each of the categories of the AFC and the NFC consists of four teams who battle it out in the AFC and the NFC. The winners of the AFC and the NFC then battle it out in the Super Bowl Championship.

NFL Support

NFL teams have used various methods to win the loyalty of their fans, sponsors and clients and this was apart from big wins and great plays. Officially National Football league changed usage of promotional products for more than just marketing campaigns. They used it as premiums. This helped boost the sales of their tickets and also encouraged attendance at games played at home and away. They were also used as rewards to win over fans, sponsors and clients.

NFL supporters on the other hand have made a killing with these premiums as they attended and cheered the players at major NFL games. These premiums are designed to impress a football fan of any age and are generally given away throughout the NFL season. The premiums include hats, flags, pencils, magnetic schedules and many more. The team’s name and logo along with symbols of the sponsors are printed very distinctly on the premiums. When teams have rewarded their fans with such premiums they have almost instantaneously generated a positive response to NFL overall and the favorite teams in specific. For the launches of bigger events like new teams or a new building, bigger and better premiums are used like magnets, lanyards, inflatable products with the logos imprinted prominently are used.

Defense in baseball: is it Really That Important ?

In a game of baseball there would be two teams playing, one on offense and one in defense. The team on defense needs to get the players of the offensive team out and this is generally done in different methods. One way is by strikeouts. The other is the force outs where in once the batter hits the ball and starts running to the base, the fielders from the defense team catch the ball and throw it to the base before the runner reaches the base. The 3rd type is the fly outs wherein if the batter hits the ball high into the air and a fielder from the defensive team catches it before it touches the ground, the batter is declared out. The last way out is Tag out wherein the ball touches the runner.

Super Bowl Weekend Is Here!

Finally!, Super Bowl weekend is upon us, and what a great weekend indeed. Two of the best of the NFL franchises came to the final: The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most of the Super Bowl betting odds are giving the edge to the Packers (slightly, but still..) and i have to say that i agree. I’m not here saying the the Steelers don’t stand a chance, because they do have, a big one – in fact they can win a Super Bowl for the third time in six years, which is by itself remarkable, but i just have this gut feeling that the packers will come with a better plan, and with their wonderful play of their quarterback, Aaron Rogers, will guide them into the promise land.

Dallas is the hosting city of this mega event, and while Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would have loved to play this weekend with his team, the cowboys, he will have to play host in his mega new stadium (which has the ability to host a whopping 110,000 fans!). It could have been a nice story line, having the cowboys play in their own home, but there poor play all year long wouldn’t gave them too much if a chance. Let me wish both teams a great and wonderfull weekend,

It’s That Time Of the Year Again – Super Sunday Baby!

It’s that time of the year again!, ah what a great time to be a football fan. The championship weekend is upon us, and it’s time to take a quick look at the 2 incredibly interesting mach-ups, and to predict who will advance to the big dance.
The first match, the NFC title game in Soldier field in Chicago, will see the Chicago Bears battling at home against the super hot Green Bay Packers. Most Odds maker don’t really count the Bears, and give Aaron Rodgers and the Packs the ticket to the promise land with a very clear edge. I don’t think it’s gone be that easy, but i definitely think it’s going to be very difficult to stop them, and so this NFL odds looks solid to me.

The AFC championship game is a different story to me. Two great teams will clash, the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers and the up and comers (and 2 straight years in this game) the New York Jets. As one ESPN analyst pointed out, the Steelers are more experienced, and they play at home. But the Jests can certainly pull the upset here, as they did in the previous 2 weeks where they beat both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady (!) in their respected homes. I’m going with the jests here. Anyway you look at it, the 2011 Super Bowl will be once again, unforgettable.

MLB 2010 – 2011 – OffSeason Predictions

It’s claimed the the New York Yankees are the richest team.Have you noticed the amount of numbers on the contracts?
Mariano Rivera has resigned a two year contract and will get $24 million, Derek Jeter has resigned for five years with $90 million, Joe Mauer signed a nine year contract for $200 millions.
Since Joe Mauer is a young and very talented player that is the sum he has to get, one of the predictions is that he would do a great job.Unless the price goes down don’t expect to see Cliff Lee on the Yankees probably will sign with the St. Louis Cardinals although they are probably saving some money for Albert Pujols.
